TEACHERS:
Tara Ahern

Tara is the founder of Himalayan Yin yoga. She commenced studying traditional Chinese medicine in the 1970’s. During this time, she also studied other Taoist energetic practices such as Qi Jung and Tai Chi. She believes movement and sound connect her to the cosmos and the divine. In 2010, Tara took her first Yin yoga class and immediately recognized to couple her 20 years relationship with Buddhism was her purpose in this life. She needed to teach this practice. Tara passionately believes she can only teach what she practices and this is her spiritual path.

Gopal Ji

From his childhood, Gopal yearned to lead a spiritual life. Consequently, he left his home at the age of 12 to live with his master. He established Yoga Vedanta as a platform for meditation courses and then in 2010 added the additional service of 200 and 300-hour yoga teacher training courses. His teachings are deeply rooted in tradition as well as offering an open-minded approach to the influences of the West. Gopal decided to venture down the East-meets-West path and join Taraji in presenting retreats and teacher trainings to help spread the Vedanta throughout the world.
